Here's some quick renders of my lowpoly (10k) Superman. I used Maya for the base model, Mudbox for the sculpted normal map, and applied the normal map back onto the low res model in order to paint on top of it directly. I organized everything into a Photoshop file to make adjustments and masks to paint to. This took me less than a week to get it where I wanted it and asked a couple friends for some great suggestions. I threw on a quick rigid rig in order for me to pose him a slightly more natural state. There's still a little minor details that could be cleaned up, but overall I'm satisfied with the results.
